Today in WorshipThis New Life” • Acts 5:17-32, Joshua 24:14-18, Acts 5:17-32, John 4:23-30, 39-42 Have you ever wondered to yourself, “When did being a follower of Jesus become so challenging in this world? Since when has it been this difficult to grow the church?” Then again, maybe we make it too complicated—or maybe our world tries to make it complicated. When we encounter Jesus, He brings new life and transforms our story. What if it is as simple as living out that new-life story that Jesus is authoring, walking through the doors the Lord has opened, and “telling people all about this new life.” How has Jesus changed your story? What about the chapter He is writing today—how is He strengthening you and sustaining you? How can sharing your story bring renewal and life to others?

“Kid Video” every week: Did you know that DCE Eric Gerken produces a weekly kid video that ties into the Foundations of Faith lesson? Great for kids, families, and adults. The video is posted weekly to our Facebook and YouTube channels. (Tip: start a faith-conversation with your kids or grandkids using that video as a starting place.)

Special: Lord Jesus, loosen my grip on the old and help me cling to the new You have brought about by grace. • We ask the Lord to be with those who have been affected by Hurricane Fiona and other tropical systems. • We pray for those in Haiti during a time of civic unrest, that the Lord would grant wisdom, strength, and hope to the people, and in this moment, that He would grant them peace in a time of insecurity and danger. • We ask the Lord to be with President Biden, members of Congress, and the Supreme Court, as well as all state and local leaders. • Thank you, Lord, for all our front-line healthcare workers. • We pray for those who serve our nation in the armed services. We also ask the Lord to watch over and keep our first responders safe.
