¡Vámonos!

Jesus had instructed the apostles to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Well, they waited—and, wow! Could they ever have anticipated the power they would experience with the coming of God’s Spirit at Pentecost? The Spirit comes like a violent wind and tongues of fire and fills the apostles, and they declare the wonders of God in other tongues. The Spirit says to the apostles (literally, to “the ones who have been sent”), “Let’s go!” And soon testimony about Jesus is spreading from Jerusalem to very ends of the earth. How is God’s Spirit being made manifest in the lives of believers today? How is God sending us to bring the light and truth of Jesus into the lives of others? Then, “Let’s go!”
