There is something powerful about how we have been united with Christ as His people. Jesus speaks of us being connected to Him just as a branch is connected to the vine. We’re united in Him, nourished by Him, and we find our purpose in Him. While unity might be something that is sorely lacking in our world, our unity in Christ speaks volumes to the world of the power of God at work in us and through us, and we believe that God will use that unity in our multicultural setting to attract people to the Gospel. Our unity in Christ is real because we are all joined to Jesus. Yet, how does God desire to make that unity more palpable? What attitudes, thoughts, and approaches need to be pruned away so that we are able to produce abundant fruit through His power?
Beginning Sunday, August 19, we are kicking off our theme for the year ahead! "United • Unidos" focuses on our unity in Christ and draws us together as one Prince of Peace/Príncipe de Paz family.
Jesus says in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." Together, we strive to produce fruit for God's Kingdom.
