The Parts Work Together
The remarkable thing about the body of Christ, the church, is that our gracious God has drawn us together with all our different gifts and backgrounds, various capabilities and liabilities, and He has made us to be one body of Christ empowered by the one Spirit of God. Working together as the body of Christ requires so much that, if not for the Lord’s grace, we would never accomplish anything for the good of others and the extension of Christ’s reign. The fact is you and I are uniquely equipped and blessed to work together for the purposes to which God has called us. What is required for us to work together as one body of Christ? How does Jesus’ call and His Spirit enable us to accomplish so much more together than we could ever hope to do alone?
