Tonight's message, "Questioning God," focuses on Exodus 3 and 4—Moses encountering the Lord at the Burning Bush. Here we see Moses full of questions and lots of excuses. Do you find yourself doing the same thing? Perhaps you wonder, "why me?" or "how could You let this happen, God?" But God always has an answer, even in times of silence. How do you think the disciples felt after Jesus' crucifixion? Do you think they were questioning God? But we know the story doesn't end at the Cross—Jesus rose again on the third day! Even in the silence of that weekend, God had the answer all along.
Midweek worship during the season of Lent gives us the opportunity to gather as the people of God to encourage one another in faith, to turn away from sin in repentance, and to lean on Christ, our Savior. Our themes focus on “Timely Encounters.” Each week we look at a key time when the Lord’s people encountered Him, discovering His deliverance, His promise, and His power.
