CloseSometimes God can seem detached from what is going on in our lives or in our world. At other times, it might seem as if in His power He is almost unapproachable. Today God reveals His design to make His heart accessible to us: Jesus, His Son, came to standin our place, even being baptized when all the people were being baptized. When the Father put His seal of approval on Jesus with the voice from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with You I am well pleased,” He was also expressing His heart for all those Jesus would redeem. Remarkably, God Himself has called us by name and made us His, promising He’ll never abandon us. Have you ever had difficulty taking in God’s love? What keeps His heart from being accessible to people? How will we remove the barriers to their hearing God speak His heart?
