CloseThere is something in the corrupted source-code all humans inherit that tends to want to make everything about them. Even as followers of Jesus, as we serve Christ and His kingdom sometimes we run the risk of losing our focus and fixing our eyes on the contribution of others, or evaluating those who seem to be “underperforming,” or wanting someone to recognize the contribution we’ve made. Jesus refocuses us so that our eyes are fixed on Him. Then the Spirit, enlightening us with His gifts, enables us to be renewed in serving God and extending His reign. What makes it difficult for you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus? Since Jesus is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, how does that shape how we see serving Him in His Kingdom work?
