Scripture Alone

October begins our new sermon series, “Foundations,” looking at foundational truths for followers of Jesus. We begin with God’s means to reveal Himself to us, “Scripture Alone.” In the weeks that follow we will continue our Foundations conversations with the topics of “Grace Alone,” “Faith Alone,” “Christ Alone,” and “Glory to God Alone.” Through the Holy Scriptures the Lord has revealed Himself to us. He makes known to us His character, His love, His truth. His Word connects us with Jesus, the “Word made flesh” (John 1:14). The Scriptures have the power to transform lives and “equip us for every good work” as we follow Jesus (2 Timothy 3:17). What role or importance does God’s Word hold in your life today? Are you hearing how is the Lord calling us to be renewed and strengthened through His Word?

Scripture References: 2 Timothy 3:14-17
