Drawn to the Water

At first glance, Luke's description of Jesus’ baptism is almost nondescript: all the people are being baptized and Jesus is baptized, too, drawing near to the humanity that He had come to save. Then—Jesus in prayer; the Spirit descends; the Father speaks. And so Jesus’ own baptism launches His Spirit-led, God-the-Father-directed ministry to seek and save that which was lost. He has come to draw us to Himself! How does being drawn to the Savior and being united with Him through your baptism shape how you view all of life? As a beloved child of God in Christ, how are you discovering God's plans and purposes for your life?
