CloseDepending on the family in which you grew up, your recollection of Thanksgivings past may be filled with vivid memories of who was around the table, what was on the table, what was said and done, as well as how people relaxed after the feast. God’s Word today instructs us to “remember the wonders the Lord has done.” Our memories may well contain vivid images of God’s provision, protection, and blessings. Today we set aside time to remember and, of course, give thanks. Today the Lord also invites us to marvel that He has remembered us and fulfilled His promises to all creation: “The Lord remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations.” Knowing that our Lord never forgets His promises to us, how then will we forever and always praise Him and declare His glories?
