Bearing Fruit That Will Last

As we prepare to enter this New Year we seek God’s blessing; we listen to His voice; we gain direction in His Word; we receive Jesus in the Sacrament. Every New Year is an opportunity for a new beginning in God’s grace. Tonight, God’s Word engages us around the topic of “bearing fruit,” fruit that reflects who we have been called to be as the people of God, bearing fruit that will last. As people who know the grace and mercy of God in Jesus, we also appreciate that God desires to use us as conduits of His love and blessing to others during this New Year. We look ahead with anticipation and joy as we expect to see God’s hand at work.
