Ch. 8 - For All the Saints: Chosen by the Lord

On this observation of All Saints Day, we give thanks for those who have gone before us in faith, and we seek to imitate their example of faithful service to Christ. In chapter 8 of The Story, we meet the Judges, or leaders, of God’s people of old. These saints trusted the LORD and His promises, delivered God’s people, and accomplished God’s purposes. All along, the LORD remained faithful to His promise which would find its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus the Messiah, the Chosen One who has delivered us from sin and death and the power of the evil one. God has chosen you to be His own, and He has gifted you for service in extending His reign. You and I, in this sense, are saints. How do you see the LORD at work in your life?

Scripture References: Judges 2:12-19, Hebrews 11:32-40
