The most amazing thing in all of history had taken place: Jesus had risen from the dead, and His disciples were eyewitnesses. Not only had they seen Jesus, they had clasped His hands and feet and touched His side. They had eaten with Him. He opened their minds to the Scriptures to understand how all that was written about Him had been fulfilled. While one might think that those experiences would immediately launch the disciples into a 24/7 ministry, instead where do we find them? By the Sea of Galilee in their former jobs as fisherman! Jesus greets them from shore in a familiar way, and again the disciples see and dine with the Risen Lord. One week after Easter, are you able to relate to the disciples? Has life returned to the usual routine? Jesus comes to us and changes everything—again! He is present here today, and He desires to make His presence known to the world today through His disciples.
