When people would meet Jesus, there was no way that they could go away unchanged. His teaching was with authority, powerful to transform lives. His words and parables revealed the Kingdom of God that Jesus Himself was ushering in. The religious elite were so offended by Jesus that they plotted how they might get rid of Him. His actions were authentic, compassionate, bold, healing, and life altering. People were in awe, amazed, completely astonished, and even at times terrified when they saw or experienced the power of Jesus, the Son of Man. How have you envisioned Jesus, His person and His ministry—and how does that square with the details we are absorbing through Scripture’s story? This Jesus is no ordinary man—He is at the same time the Son of Man and the Son of God. What about Jesus fills your heart today—and what would you share with someone to introduce them to Jesus?
