Ch. 21 - Rebuilding Lives God's Way

Chapter 21 of The Story is all about rebuilding: rebuilding the walls around Jerusalem; rebuilding true worship of God as God’s Word is read, explained, and applied to the lives of the people; rebuilding their identity as God’s people as hearts and lifestyles align more and more with who God has called the people to be. All of these things are evidence of the LORD's work in His people, as He defends them, strengthens them, and transforms them. All these things also point ahead to the work of Jesus the Messiah who was coming into to give His own life as a sacrifice to rebuild the relationship we have with God. Jesus ultimately is the source of peace and hope for God’s people. How has the work of God rebuilding lives been evident in your world? And how might Jesus be at work in ways that are invisible to others? His love, peace, and hope has the power rebuild every life in God’s way.
