Ch. 20 - For Such a Time as This

We all like that experience of being in the “right place at the right time.” The story of Esther is much more than one of being in the right place at the right time—her story is of being right where God wanted her, chosen by God according to His ultimate plan and purpose. Having been elevated to the position of Queen of Persia, Esther was positioned perfectly by the God of the ages to be His instrument to save His people from annihilation—His promise to bless all people of the earth through Abraham’s descendants would be preserved! Ultimately, this leads to the fulfillment of all God’s promises centered on the Messiah who was to come, Jesus, on whom rests our salvation and our eternal hope. Can you identify a time that God was at work behind the scenes in your life for His purposes? Even when we are not fully aware, God is at work in the lives of His people. He creates avenues for us in every area of life to share the hope that we have in Jesus, His Son.
