Ch. 15 - God's Messengers

In chapter 15 of The Story, we meet God’s messengers—the prophets. Over and over again God sent prophets (Elijah, Elisha, Amos, Hosea, etc.) to speak His work, warning the people and calling them to repentance. As they spoke, the cry of God’s heart could be heard, “Turn from your sin! Return to me! Come home! I still love you!” These prophets foreshadowed the coming of the greatest prophet—who was much more than a prophet—Jesus, true man and true God, our Savior and our Lord. Today God calls on each of us to be His messenger, showing by word and action the grace, mercy, and love of the Lord.
