Message: “Be Different” from Rev. Ken Green

Jesus is the light of the world, the light no darkness can overcome. (Check. John 1:5; John 8:12.) Jesus said that we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. (Check. Matthew 5:13-14.) But what does all that mean? While it may be as simple as all get out, Jesus speaks to the deepest truth: His power and love has transformed us in such radical ways that we have become something new—because we are in Him, we are the light of the world. Does your thinking need to be transformed so that you are more conscious of the truth Jesus speaks? If you and I are light, what keeps this world in such darkness?

His was a mission to change everything: to give the fullest, most authentic demonstration of God’s love; to conquer sin and its deathly effects; to heal, restore, and bring life and light.
