Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the penitential season of Lent. Our attention focuses on our need for repentance, and for the mercy and forgiveness proclaimed in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The sign of ashes speaks of the frail and uncertainty of human life and marks the penitence of the Christian community.
The worship service will be held in the Sanctuary and will include Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.
