Bible Text: Psalm 22:23-31 |

Series:

Psalm 22 is familiar to many of us: Jesus echoed the words of the first verse as He was being crucified. As our Lord suffers and bears our unrighteousness, He experiences rejection even from His Father in heaven. Perhaps less familiar to us is how the end of Psalm 22 lends itself to our theme of “renewal.” We are renewed in God’s power because Jesus’ sacrifice is complete and is acceptable to God. We and all God’s people give praise and worship Him, for God has satisfied our deepest need. We serve Him and share His life with others—we have purpose in this world—for “He has done it!” (Psalm 22:31)
