There is a distinction between wisdom and knowledge: Knowledge is the accumulation of facts and data through study, research, or experience (think: education). Wisdom is the application of knowledge to one’s life, discerning what is true, right, or lasting. It is possible, then, for someone to be filled with knowledge, yet lack wisdom. God’s Word gives us this insight: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10). Godly wisdom ultimately comes from knowing Jesus, the One who has redeemed us and who embodies the very wisdom of God. How will you seek God’s wisdom this week—and how might that shape your life? Will you share God’s wisdom by introducing others to Jesus, the Holy One, who embodies all of God’s wisdom and love?
