NYG Online Fundraiser

NYG Online Fundraiser

Many of us are accustomed to receiving online solicitations from kids and teens to help raise funds things like new athletic uniforms, band equipment or other school or extra-curricular activities. Our Prince of Peace/Principe de Paz Youth Ministry is currently holding such a fundraiser to help with costs with attending the LCMS National Youth Gathering this summer in Houston, TX.

The teens have been asked to send emails to their friends and family and to post about the fundraiser on their social media accounts to try and gather funds from outside the congregation. We realize that our own church family is often the primary backer when it comes to funding special events like this, and so we are trying something a little different.

However, we did want to share with the congregation that they are also welcome to contribute to this fundraiser if they choose. To do so, you simply follow the link and fill out the form. Be sure to choose a student that you would like to honor with your contribution. The students have a running competition for who can collect the most donations in their name. The winner will receive a special prize while we are in Houston. All contributions to this fund are tax deductible.

Students who are attending the National Youth Gathering from Prince of Peace/Principe de Paz are: Jaymes Francis-Jones, Chase Fussell, Laden Fussell, Jayson Gerken, Elizabeth Green, Faith Green, Ethan Jones, Shane Jones,  Tabitha Lookofsky-Martinez, John “Jej” Rallison, Anthony Ramirez, Greg Vales, Lauren Wiegand and Matthew Wiegand. Eric and Brenda Gerken, Peg Green and Jon Wiegand are also attending as adults and Sarah Wiegand is attending as part of the Gathering’s Young Adult Volunteer Corp.
