LWML, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (also called Lutheran Women in Mission), is an organization for all women of the church. We have a membership of nearly 250,000 women. Our purpose from Psalm 100:2 is to "serve the Lord with gladness".
LWML gives women an opportunity to serve their Lord in the community and throughout the world.The women fund missions by using a little mite box. Men, women, and children are encouraged to drop in their loose change and then pray that the Lord will multiply what has been given to help support these many missions throughout the world. The concept is based on Mark 12:41-44 where the widow gave her mite out of poverty while the rich people gave from their wealth.
Contributions are collected at Prince of Peace the third Sunday of each month.The women meet at church from September through May on the third Wednesday of each month. The meetings begin at 9:30 A.M. and end around 11:00 A.M.
