Christmas at Prince of Peace Orlando

Christmas Eve 2018

Monday, December 24, 2018

Service Times: 5:00 pm // 5:30 pm // 7:30 pm // 10:00 pm

Christmas Eve services at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church are a holiday tradition for hundreds of families. We invite you to come and share in the joy of Christmas with us this year!

We offer four worship services on Christmas Eve, each with different styles. Each service includes a variation of the beloved tradition of singing by candlelight.

At 5:00 pm, we offer Family Contemporary Worship in the Family Life Center. This service includes music led by the worship team, a kid-focused message, and a kid-friendly glow-stick Silent Night.

Worship en español at 5:30 pm in la víspera de Navidad. Celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with Christmas carols and beautiful hymns—all with a Latino flavor—and a meditation on God’s Word.

The 7:30 pm Traditional Candlelight Worship, held in the Sanctuary, celebrates the birth of Jesus in a traditional, liturgical setting. This worship service includes the scriptural telling of the Christmas story, Holy Communion, and many traditional Christmas hymns and carols led by the organ and choir.

At 10:00 pm, join us for a new Service of Lessons and Carols in the Sanctuary. This service brings the greatest love story of all time to life by weaving together Scripture and song. Traditional carols and hymns are sung throughout, with special music from the parish choir and string quartet. Holy Communion will be celebrated during this service as well.

Christmas Day 2018

Tuesday, December 25, 2018

English Worship: 10:00 am

Celebrate the birth of the King on Christmas Day at Prince of Peace!
Christmas morning worship is based on the traditional Divine Service format often used for Sunday morning services. Worship includes scripture readings, Holy Communion, and traditional Christmas hymnody. This service lasts about one hour and fifteen minutes.

What about kids?

Children are certainly welcome to worship with their parents in all of our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services. Free childcare for children ages 6-weeks to 4-years will be provided from 7:00 to 9:30 pm on Christmas Eve. The 5:00 pm Family Contemporary Service is specifically designed for families with young children, so children are encouraged to actively participate in this service. We apologize that no childcare will be offered during the 10:00 pm service…but we are pretty sure by that time your kids will be nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugar-plums dance in their heads! No childcare will be provided on Christmas Day.

What should I wear?
